Punta Cana is a municipal district in the eastern-most part of the Dominican Republic. It’s a coastal haven of pristine beaches, harboring the green-blue waters of both the Atlantic and the Caribbean oceans. With its sprawling white beaches, rich coral reefs, existing palm trees, clear skies, classy amenities, and modernized accommodations, it is best known among tourists as a very appealing tropical tourist destination. Having been such since the 1970s, it has deservedly gained a reputation around its intense, preponderantly, Hispanic culture of being one of the liveliest,friendliest and most hospitable tourist-oriented civilization in the world, and in addition, one of the most low-cost travel destinations this side of the Caribbean. Spanish is its official language, having been colonized by the Spaniards, but numerous hotel personnel are fluent in English, while some are speaking in French (neighboring country, Haiti, was occupied by the French).
